Recorded at Salford Salutes Dylan charity concert last month. We only got together to play the show and had only one rehearsal beforehand. We enjoyed it so much we're gonna form a permanent band. Name as yet unknown. Guitar and vocals - Simon 'Dylanthumb' Jones
Bass and bk vocals - Neale 'Yellowcatz' Tickle
Drums - Ric Gibbs
The Kings Arms is only a short walk from Manchester Free Trade Hall where Dylan played his infamous '66 electric gig to the cries of 'Judas'...his alleged reaction to his band was 'play fuckin loud', so we thought we'd do the same..
btw it's a lot faster than the original :-)
They say everything can be replaced
Yet every distance is not near
So I remember every face
Of every man who put me here.
I see my light come shining
from the west down to the east
Any day now, any way now,
I shall be released.
They say every man needs protection
They say that every man must fall
Yet I swear, I see my reflection
Somewhere so high above this wall.
I see my light come shining
from the west down to the east
Any day now, any way now
I shall be released.
Standin' next to me in this lonely crowd
A man who swears he's not to blame
All day long, I hear him shoutin' so loud
Cryin' out that he was framed.
I see my light come shining
from the west down to the east
Any day now, any way now
I shall be released.
Any day now, any way now
I shall be released.
