A truck carrying equipment for a geological expedition makes its way through the Karakum desert. Traveling with the driver are a Turkmen boy, Murat, returning home, and a German boy, Max, heading to his father. Along the way, the driver suddenly changes course for reasons unknown to his companions. Stuck in the sand, he goes in search of water and... disappears. His father, worried about his son, raises the alarm. Meanwhile, the boys, tired of waiting for the driver, assemble an iceboat from the materials found in the truck and set off on an adventure...
