IH 55 Nebuliser from Beurer
The IH 55 Nebuliser is small and handy, making it ideal for travelling. So you can also treat your upper and lower airways when you’re on the go. Nebulisation uses vibrating membrane technology and is ideal for colds, asthma and respiratory diseases.

• Nebulisation performance: greater than 0.25 ml/min
However, depending on the face shape/size, which mask is suitable may vary. When using a mask to inhale, take care to ensure the mask fits well and the eyes are unobstructed.
On children, the mask should cover the mouth and nose to ensure effective inhalation. The children’s mask is suitable for children from 2 years of age.
Notice: Children should only carry out inhalation under the supervision of an adult and with their assistance, and they should not be left alone.
It is not very useful to carry out nebulisation next to someone who is sleeping, as in this case not enough of the medication will reach the lungs.
What is the difference between modern nebulisers and a classic steam bath?
In comparison to the use of a classic steam bath, modern nebulisers generate a consistently high quantity of extremely small particles of the active substances during operation, which penetrate deep into the airways. In steam baths, on the other hand, the generated particles are significantly larger and thus cannot penetrate as deeply into the airways. Steam baths also cool off quickly, which also has a fast, detrimental effect on the release of active substances.
