Sean McCarter, an OGCA Director, reviews some beautiful H&R firearms. Established in 1871, H&R (Harrington & Richardson) is a manufacturer of firearms under the Harrington & Richardson and New England Firearms trademarks. Sean show off a beautiful H&R 195 (nicknamed the USRA model), original test targets, and marketing materials from the era. H&R hired Walter F. Roper to develop the firearms, a talented mechanical engineer, designer of custom target grips and an expert pistol shot with many years experience in the firearms industry.
In the end, H&R and Roper created perhaps some of the most accurate .22 ever made.
