How to determine Shipment Date in Bill of Lading under Letters of Credit (LC)?

• Date of shipment is one of the key definitions in a letter of credit (LC) transaction.

• It is used to determine:

– whether shipment is done on time or not (to ensure whether a late shipment has taken place or not)

– whether documents presented within the presentation period or not (to ensure whether a late presentation has occurred or not)

– Due date of the time (usance) draft / deferred payment LC

In this video, I have shared how to determine shipment date in bill of lading under LC.
