Parasympathetic/Cholinergic System: the parasympathetic neurons are originated from Cranian Saceral part thus it also called as a Cranio-Saceral system. this system has long preganglionic and short postganglionic fibres. in the synaptic Junctions Acetylcholine is the major neurotransmitter. And This system is activated in the Condition of Rest and Digest.
Sympathetic/Adrenergic Systems: the sympathetic neurons are originated from Thoracic and Lumber part of the spinal cord thus it also called thora-columbar system. This system has a short preganglionic and long postganglionic fiber. Noradrenaline and adrenaline is the major neurotransmitter. And this system is activated in the Condition of Flight, Fight, and Fright.
