After resting up for a couple of weeks due to my tumble at Airline Bike Park (healing up is definitely tougher after you hit 50), I had finally healed up enough for a recovery ride over in Canton, NC, at @SethsBikeHacks brain child- Berm Park and the backcountry trails at Chestnut Mountain. On the third anniversary of major surgery, I headed to the mountains with a stop, of course, at Biscuit Head on the way. I couldn't pass that up. I've done well at making sure that I get out and ride on this anniversary every year.
Again, this being a recovery ride, I had planned to do a chill ride, and I mostly did, but I found out rather quickly that Berm Park and Chestnut Mountain, has some legit climbs and descents.
Also, thank you to Erik Perkins, @PerkinsBuilderBrothers of Perkins Builder Brothers who took a lot of time to show me around Berm Park (he absolutely shreds), and I was absolutely clueless that he was anything but a really good mountain biker!
