Stratus - I'm On the Run
Stratus was a Danville, Va. band. The group recorded several songs in Alan Rowe's basement studio on a 4-track recorder. "I'm On the Run" was the first. Bassist Alan Rowe: I wrote the music for “I’m On the Run.” Guitarist Jaye Morgan, Doug Hyler and drummer Adrian Moore did the lyrics. The song won an American Song Festival award in 1979 and was played on WYPR and WBTM in Danville, Va., WQDR in Raleigh, a station in Jackson, Miss., and another in Houston.
