Slumberland is a 2022 American fantasy adventure film directed by Francis Lawrence and written by David Guion and Michael Handelman. It is based on the comic strip, Little Nemo in Slumberland, by Winsor McCay. The film stars Jason Momoa and Marlow Barkley with Chris O'Dowd, Kyle Chandler and Weruche Opia in supporting roles.
Slumberland was released on November 18, 2022, by Netflix.
In 2022, Writer/Cartoonist, Christian J. Foster claimed Slumberland plagiarized his comic book of the same title. He changed the title to “Slumbernet” to avoid confusion, despite the fact that his book was published before the movie was released. He maintains it was stolen, as the film’s writers are signed to the same agency that rejected his book.
