Description
In this video, we focus on setting up the outline of the house by importing an FBX file and positioning it on the site. We start by addressing an issue from the previous video where the buildings were below the surface of the plane. We use the Shrinkwrap modifier to snap the buildings to the face of the plane.

Next, we create a new vertex group to specify which vertices will snap to the surface of the plane. We assign the bottom vertices of the buildings to this group and use the Shrinkwrap modifier to snap them to the plane.

We then import an outline of the house in the form of an FBX file. We guide you through the process of downloading the FBX file from the assets page and importing it into Blender. The outline is added at the world origin, and we make a linked duplicate to position it at the site location.

We rotate the house outline to match the site's rotation. We keep the original and the duplicate linked so that we can model the house while observing it in its actual position. Once the modeling is complete, we can make them single users.

We create a new collection called "house_geo" and move the outline object inside it. We then extrude the base shape of the house to its overall height of 6.2 meters.
