Accounting Red Flag 7: Directors
In this video, we look at how the composition of the board and changes in directors can tell you that something may be amiss.
Key on directors is to check that the non executives have a vested interest in protecting the interests of shareholders. They should have relevant experience and usually, they will have a seat on another public company board.
Check also that the audit firm is a name you have heard of and is appropriate for the size of the business.
