We are currently living in one of the greatest disasters to ever hit LA.
And with more 80-100 mph winds in the forecast, perhaps the end is far from near.
On January 7, 2025, a fire started in Pacific Palisades with the cause to be unknown rapidly spread due to record winds of 99mph. With the area of LA also dealing with a 6 month drought, the dry brush set up unfortunate conditions for huge fires to spread rapidly.
With embers capable of flying miles in distance, areas outside of Palisades were immediately impacted with another large fire called the Eaton fire in the city of AltaDena.
With another week of high intensity wind conditions, more damage may ensue as first responders and firefighters do their best to contain them.
