Tor festival presents: Sound and Music Composer, Curator residency with Alison Cooper a fantastic singer songwriter, synth and recorder enthusiast.
Based in the Calder Valley UK, Alison Cooper is a composer and artist that is the otherworldly voice and vision behind the fairytale folk of Magpahi. Inspired by the landscape that she was brought up in, herbal medicine and history. Her background working in museums has given her discipline and grounding enabling her to fuse the worlds of past and present by interweaving narratives of folklore, geographical spaces, cultural phenomena and people into her craft.
