Noob advice: This trick will NOT / be less likely to succeed against more advanced players who would also be walking.
As my sole remaining teammate wouldn't stop making footsteps in uppers it was appropriate to rotate A as the awper in mid would have returned to B if logic prevails (which it did). Here I am still getting used to gameplay in MGE, a rank which I have not reached for two years. Playing safe meant I wasn't going for headshots - maybe I should try harder.
Skill level MGII to MGE.
