This has been the challenge that we had in mind for a long time, since we cannot do it alone. But for our first long form video, we finally made it with quite a few surprises an unexpected events along the way, especially when the night falls.
This cabin looks abandoned for quite some time now, the overgrown grasses and leaky roof and brittle crunchy flooring make it very apparent.
Even with all that, it seems to be just the perfect spot to spend some time out while out on the woods. Uncertainties are sometimes surprisingly great.
This cabin is about 3 - 5 kilometers (1.8 - 3 miles) away from the nearest settlement but because of this cabin's altitude of 5,000ft above sea level, we can easily hear them especially at night time.
There is also a biker's off-roading trail just as far as the nearest settlement so they can be heard randomly throughout the day and most notably on weekends.
Despite that, this place still feels very secluded and cozy.
Since the cabin lack the basic stuff, we had to rely on some basic bushcraft skills.
Before the night fell, we trekked a bit higher the hill to see the whole place and cook our dinner outdoors. The view is so serene and relaxing, it just satisfies the soul.
The feeling is unexpectedly uplifting and almost felt like it heals your stresses that built up.
