Help2Feed App helps charity organisations connect with individuals and hotels/restaurants, where the wastage of food can be minimised and it reaches the needy quickly. We wanted to provide a sustainable solution to end hunger and poverty by adopting Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) proposed by United Nations.

The App can be downloaded for FREE from the link (https://github.com/Mithileysh/Help2Fe...)

The World Food Programme has said the coronavirus outbreak could cause "multiple famines of biblical proportions" in the coming months. So, we developed an app that can end hunger, poverty and wastage of food.

Features of Help2Feed:
1. Individuals can login and connect charity organisations with Hotels/Restaurants/Catering Services.
2. Individuals can donate funds or food to charity organisations.
3. Charity organisation can directly request Hotels/Restaurants for food.
4. Hotels/Restaurants can directly supply food to Charity organisations.

#StopHunger. #StopPoverty. #StopWastageOfFood.

The app is led and developed by Saravana Pandian. Well supported by Balaji, Shobana and Subiksha, students of Sairam Engineering College, Chennai. The students volunteered with the RAJ SQUARE CHARITY FOUNDATION (www.rajsquare.com) to help people and hotels/restaurants stop wasting food and donate it directly to charity organisations. Completely powered by MIT Square.

The pre-version of the app was released on 28 May 2020 to celebrate "World Hunger Day". The app was released as a part of creating awareness to the society about hunger, poverty and stopping wastage of food.

Achievements:
the students won FIRST place in "Let's Build IT" (App Development Event - 2020) organised by the Department of Information Technology, Sairam Engineering College.
