Ozempic (or Semaglutide) is all the rage at the moment - particularly in celebrity circles. This diabetes drug is intended to regulate insulin and glucose for diabetic, and is also indicated for weight loss in clinically obese patients. However, as with any desirable drug, it's being prescribed to the most privileged among us, diabetics are missing out, and now we are seeing potential issues that come along with the use of this medication.
So, what are the potential drawbacks of taking this medication? In this video I cover the concept of "Ozempic face" - the ageing appearance and loss of oh-so-precious facial fat as a result of taking this diabetes drug. Plus I touch on the possibility of weight GAIN once you stop taking his medication.
Have you tried this medication or know someone who has? Let me know in the comments.
