Using Accents in TTRPGs | ProGM Discussion with European Players
Accents can be a fun addition to character design and stepping out of yourself and into a character. Game Masters can use accents to quickly distinguish which NPC is talking without having to narrate every transition. But having watched plenty of talk shows discussing actors with bad accent work, using European accents with a non-American players suddenly makes me feel exposed. My European players and I discuss using accents, the logic behind them, and what its like when I have to roleplay as one of their characters.
