Carsten Strauch studied Visual Communication at the Offenbach University of Art and Design.
Even during his studies, Strauch directed several short films, including "Futter," "Das Taschenorgan," and "Das grüne Schaf," receiving numerous awards, such as the Hessian Film Prize, the German Short Film Prize, and many accolades and prizes at national and international festivals.
Strauch works as an actor, writer, and director. His first feature film, "Die Aufschneider," was released in 2007, starring himself, Rainer Ewerrien, Christoph Maria Herbst, and Cosma Shiva Hagen.
In the comedy series "Götter wie wir," Strauch not only plays one of the two main roles but also takes on five additional roles, serving as director, writer, and co-producer. Piotr J. Lewandowski is the second director. Rainer Ewerrien also contributes as a writer, appears in several roles, and plays Ingeborg Gott. Nina Werth is another writer.

Since 2015, Strauch has been a regular cast member of the successful ZDF comedy series "Sketch History," which also received a Grimme Prize nomination and won the German Comedy Award three times.
