Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has made a one day visit to Jordan to offer his condolences to King Abdullah on the death of his father King Hussein.
Mahathir was received on Sunday by King Abdullah and his wife at the royal court.
Mahathir later visited Hussein's tomb and met with the late king's wife Queen Noor before returning to Malaysia.
Mahathir made a whirlwind visit to Jordan's capital on Sunday.
Like thousand of Jordanians and many world leaders Mahathir's one day visit to Amman was so he and his wife could show their respect for the late King Hussein and offer condolences to his family.
Mahathir and his wife briefly met with the new monarch, King Abdullah and his wife, Princess Rania.
He then prayed at the grave site of Jordan's lost king.
Hussein's widow, Queen Noor also held an audience with the Malaysian Prime Minister and his wife before they returned to Malaysia.
Although the funeral of Jordan's King Hussein is over, the nation is still in mourning with shops and businesses remaining closed all week.
