Softube Tape with Studio One Mix Engine Fx | Best Multitrack Tape Recorder
Softube is widely known for accurate emulation from some of the greatest companies like Weiss, Tube-Tech, Summit-Audio, Trident,etc. They even have their own flagships and Tape is one of them. They recently announced 3 new set of plugins in collaboration with ELI - The makers of Fatso & Distressor. So there's no doubt in quality of the plugins they give us.
On the other hand Studio One has Mix Engine FX, and with collaboration with Presonus, softube's Tape can act as one of the Studio One FX. The mix engine fx is quiet similar to Pro Tools Heat but has depth because of Tape.
From 1IPS TO 30IPS you get the authentic rich analog taste throughout your mix. Mix engine workflow with Tape is basically inserting tape on every channel prior to the mixer. So it doesn't act like an insert but as an actual Tape Machine.
