In this video, we will rank and explore Bruce Lee's 5 greatest movies. In the canon of action movies, Bruce Lee holds a very special and unique place as it’s him who’s widely been credited with popularising the martial arts genre. And the way he did this wasn’t by pretending he knew what he was doing with that craft. No, the way he did this was by becoming a master at karate and then choosing to bring this skill to the screen.
That’s right, after training under the legendary Ip Man and becoming one of the best martial artists of his day, Bruce Lee would move into the world of acting. And this gave him an opportunity to do what no other actor was doing at the time. So seeing his chance then, he’d help to pioneer the martial arts movies with flicks like Fist of Fury, The Way of the Dragon, and the posthumously released Enter the Dragon, all while he was also memorably popping up in TV’s The Lone Ranger as Kato.
Unfortunately though, Bruce Lee would die young when a cerebral edema led to him passing away at just thirty two years old. What caused this cerebral edema? Well that’s been the subject of much speculation over the years, with there being various theories surrounding what really happened, theories ranging from murder to on set accidents. Whatever the truth though, the end result remains the same and this is that he was gone far too soon and because of that, we missed out on a lot more great work from him.
