The close-knit team of the "homicide department" continues its offensive against the criminal underworld of St. Petersburg. The gangsters, eager to remain unpunished, are becoming increasingly sophisticated, but this doesn't help them much. Old-timers Slava Volkov and Major Solovets, the resourceful and restless Kirill Porokhnya, and Kolya the Samurai, fascinated by Eastern philosophy—the task force led by Colonel Yershov—keep them on their toes. And in their free time, the friends try to arrange their personal lives—after all, they're not just detectives, but also ordinary guys with their own joys and sorrows.
