In this video Thomas discusses recent research outcomes on Building Information Modelling for the purpose of sustaining rich detailed knowledge on our buildings throughout the entire life cycle. BIM models are enriched with point clouds to guarantee that models are up to date and geometrically accurate. Machine learning is used to analyse building models. A containerized, binary and hierarchical serialization format is presented to make models efficiently searchable.
