The Aurora Borealis seen from my home in Northeast Texas on October 10, 2024.
After a series of massive X-class solar flares, the geomagnetic storm conditions reached severe levels.
The Aurora Borealis (AKA Northern Lights) were visible all over the United States, including my home in Mabank Texas.
I recorded this timelapse video on a Canon 5d3 DSLR with both a 50mm and 14mm lens. Each frame corresponds to 20 seconds, so this video is about 90x real time
I removed the airplane trails by hand editing each frame.
