The Home on the Hill: a Testimonial
We recently revisited this home nestled at the top of a hill on the island of Oahu which we designed and built over 20 years ago with some creative ideas and a growing family in mind.
Seeing how well it has stood the test of time (and children!), and hearing stories of how the kids would play on the indoor bridge, turning it into their private castle and spying on the rest of the house below. How their mother could feel connected to the rest of her home and family even while washing the dishes. How the couple loved the wow factor and the reactions they would get whenever a new guest would enter. How the cosy and private rooms at the back of the house were the perfect place to nest and rest, shaded from the openness of the rest of the house. And how the family still love their unique home now as much as they did back then is the most rewarding part of our work.
