So what do you do if you keep gaining weight even though you are doing everything you can to lose it? If you are wondering “ Why Do I Gain Weight So Easily “ or “why do I keep Gaining Weight “ and you are doing everything to keep the pounds off, exercising, Cardio, weight training and dieting and yet the scale keeps climbing, the problem most likely isn’t you.

It may be that the nutrition plan you chose isn't right, your calories need to be adjusted, or you're making progress that you don't even realize.

I have some friends (and you probably do as well) that can eat anything and everything they want to and never seem to gain a pound. I bet everyone knows someone who never gains weight no matter what. This is even more evident if you are trying to lose weight.

My first recommendation is don’t beat yourself up. Just remember everyone struggles with something. Yours is weight loss, your skinny friend may be struggling with their finances or having personal problems with their spouse or their car just bit the dust. Give yourself credit for what you are good at.

Why do I gain weight easily? It is very hard to know the exact reasons. If you are watching what you are eating and exercising perhaps you are calculating things wrong. For instance perhaps you're Underestimating Your Calorie Intake.

Take a good look at what you put into your mouth every day. Us a free health app that will help you count calories. If you don’t like to count calories check out this video I did the other day about looking at your plate different.

Perhaps You're Overestimating Your Calorie Burn. Staying active is a great way to burn more calories, but overestimating your calorie burn during exercise can cause you to overeat during the rest of the day. Trusting your instincts on how many calories you burn -- and how many calories you need after a workout -- might make you overeat.

Again you can use that same free app to keep track of your calorie burn each day.

Is my body getting smaller? In some cases, the number on the scale goes up, but your body is actually getting smaller and tighter. This is a good problem to have! You might be improving your level of fitness and putting on muscle.

Use the fit of your clothes or a tape measure to evaluate progress. You can also use a body fat scale to see if you are making progress without seeing a change in your weight.

The last thing I recommend is to get a physical. It could be your thyroid is to blame. Once you get that under control try losing weight again. I always recommend at least one green smoothie a day to supplement a meal. This is such an easy way to get all your daily vitamins and minerals that you need.

I recommend a program that has a lot of smoothie recipes and also has a weight loss program. Just click the link in the description to find out more.

Remember, metabolism greatly affects a person's tendency to lose or gain weight. Changing your metabolism is harder than changing your eating and exercise habits. You can try to achieve a skinny person's eating habits or fitness level, but you just can't make their metabolism yours.

There are factors in weight gain that we simply have no control over. But there are others that we can change. You can make the healthiest choices possible when you eat. And you can exercise to feel good about your body, not just to lose weight.

The change in perspective may not change your weight, but then again, it just might. If nothing else, it can make you feel better about your body and your weight...at any size.
