1. Importing Files or Videos
Open OpenShot:

Import Media or video files :
Go to the “File” menu and select the “Import Files ” or we can use the “Import” button (usually found in the Project Files tab or the toolbar).
Browse your computer to find the video files or other media you want to import.
Select the files and click “Open”. The files will be added to the “Project Files” area.
Drag and Drop:
Alternatively, we can drag and drop files directly from your file explorer into the “Project Files” area.
2. Cutting and Trimming
Add Video to Timeline:
Drag the imported video from the “Project Files” area to the “Timeline” area at the bottom of the screen.
Select the Video:
Click on the video clip on the timeline to select it.
Use the Cutting Tool:
In the toolbar, select the “Razor Tool” (often looks like a razor blade or scissors) or press “Ctrl+K” (or “Cmd+K” on Mac) to activate it.
Click on the video clip where you want to make the cut. This will split the clip into two separate pieces.
Trim Clips:
To trim a clip, hover over the edges of the clip on the timeline until you see a trim icon. Drag the edge inward to shorten the video clip.
3. Moving Clips
Select the Clip:
Click on the video clip you want to move on the timeline.
Drag to Move:
Click and drag the selected clip to a new position on the timeline.
4. Removing Clips
Select the Clip:
Click on the clip you wish to remove from the timeline.
Delete the Clip:
Press the “Delete” key on your keyboard or right-click and select “Remove Clip” from the context menu.
5. Exporting Your Video
Prepare for Export:
Ensure your video is finalized on the timeline with all the edits you want.
Export Video:
Go to the “File” menu and select “Export Project” and then “Export Video…”.
Alternatively, you may find an “Export” button or icon on the toolbar.
Configure Export Settings:
Choose the destination folder where you want to save the video.
Select the video format (e.g., MP4, AVI) and adjust other settings such as resolution, quality, and frame rate as needed. Enter a name for your file.
Start Export:
Click the “Export” or “Save” button to begin the export process.
Wait for Completion:
