Ever since Needy had laid eyes on Effy, she was fascinated. They become best friends w/ the occasional hookup. And soon she becomes obsssed, she puts effy first above everything else, when effy talks to other guys, she gets jealous. She idolizes Effy, to her, Effy sat on a pedestal. (plotdevice) Effy takes up a modeling job and through there, she meets Luke (dundundun) She legitimately falls for him bc she has a screwed up taste in guys. When Needy realizes that it isnt just a fling/hookup like the others, she feels threatened, And when effy start showing signs of wanting to take it further, she is distraught. She eventually tells her how she feels, and how she cant be around her anymore bc it will just hurt even more. Effy ofcourse is sadden by the news and contemplates if Luke is worth it. With Needy ignoring her and no longer part of her life, she realizes that He isnt and that she missed Needy. It became worse when she finds out she's pregnant and Needy isnt there to talk to and support her. When she couldnt take the loneliness she goes to Needy and tells her whats been happening and that she doesnt want to lose her best friend, and that she feels something for her too. Both learn that they cant live w/out the other.
