Okay so I understand this is a common problem for a lot of people using Sony Vegas...which ever version it maybe, you might be wondering but why isn't she giving us a video tutorial on how to do it? The answer simply is it would just be a tutorial of how to get Sony Vegas free. I don't know what causes Sony Vegas to stop opening but I know how to fix it.
1. Check what build of Vegas you have e.g when my Pro 11 stopped working I had Pro 11.0 510 I now have Pro 11.0 520.
2. Uninstall your current version (It's no use re-downloading the same build or re-installing the same one, it still won't open)
3. Download either a higher build of your Vegas or you can download a lower build of it, as long as its not the same build it should open.
4. You will need a keygen and patcher as you did before and you'll have to re-register once it's done it should open again.
Notes:
This method should work with all people working with Sony Vegas if you're working with Vegas Pro 10 I suggest downloading Pro 10.0a (This is the first version) those working with Pro 8 or 9 I haven't found any lower build of the program so would suggest just upgrading to Pro 10.0a
People with Vegas Pro 11 i'm afraid you can't downgrade without losing all your projects as they won't open in a lower version of Vegas.
