Working with your fabric scraps is like magic! First, you use the discarded pieces from other projects (and get to remember the fun you had making those!) and then it all comes together to create something new and equally special. I love the way this block comes together and makes this colorful gorgeous pillow. But no need to stop at the pillow top! You could go on to make an entire quilt with this method and that would be beautiful :)
The Log Cabin block became very popular during the American Civil war in the 1860s. It is somehow associated with Abraham Lincoln and his Kentucky roots. It is associated with the independence and adventure of the American pioneer spirit. According to wikipedia :). I love it!
