The first of three video showing you the process I took to build my very own Raspberry Pi Arcade.

This first video looks at the components I used and how I created my prototype.

The second video looks at wiring all the buttons and setting up the config files in the Pi

The final video looks at how I build my arcade cabinet.

More detail can be found on my blog https://richardpearce.net/2016/07/19/...

Here's some useful links that will help with your build:

Install instructions and the download the RetroPie software: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-...

The Ipac2 is like a keyboard connected to the PI. Download the Ipac software to configure the button here: https://www.ultimarc.com/winipacv2.html

Use WinSCP to see and modify your Pi's files: https://winscp.net/eng/download.php

To setup two player with the Ipac2 you have to change the config file found here: /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg

After

rather than relying on a default.

Change the one player defaults and add in player two, it should look something like this:

input_player1_a = num5
input_player1_b = num6
input_player1_y = num7
input_player1_x = num8
input_player1_l = num9
input_player1_r = num0
input_player1_start = Z
input_player1_select = X
input_player1_left = num2
input_player1_right = num1
input_player1_up = num3
input_player1_down = num4

input_player2_a = T
input_player2_b = Y
input_player2_y = U
input_player2_x = I
input_player2_l = O
input_player2_r = P
input_player2_start = N
input_player2_select = M
input_player2_left = W
input_player2_right = Q
input_player2_up = E
input_player2_down = R

I hope you enjoy the video.

I'd love to hear you comments. If you're a novice (like me) and need more information or if you're a seasoned woodworker and have a tip for me and others who may be interested.

Thanks

Note: I've recorded the videos in highest resolution possible. So please view them in 1080 or 720P (HD) for best quality. Cheers!
