The BoC Announcement is this Wednesday! What’s your bet? Cautious Tiff Macklem says 25 BPS? Smart Tiff says 50 BPS? Or Wildman Tiff says 75 BPS. Nah, it won’t be 75 BPS. What is my guess? Likely 50 but please understand it DOESN’T MATTER, its 50 now & 25 in December or its 25 now & 50 in December it’s all just noise. Events will rule & barring a HUGE Geopolitical event like blowing up Oil Fields we are destined for cuts in Canada all the way till late Spring or Summer, because inflation is broken & the Canadian economy is in the Crapper. The better question is will Tiff stop at 2.75% or 2.50% next year
