Leader Follower Database Replication
Let’s talk about one of the most common database replication architecture, called leader-follower architecture. It’s very common in relational database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
In this architecture, your writes are handled by a leader node while all your reads are served be followers/replica nodes.
