This is my Pseudotropheus acei aquarium showing close ups of the lake rocks, sand and the twilight glitter painted aquarium background. The glitter is barely visible in most videos until I get close up or turn the flash on the camera, but it looks very nice in person. The background process for the twilight effect is the same as in my videos entitled 55 Gallon Glitter Painted Aquarium and How to make your own sparkling aquarium background, except for this tank we used one bottle of clear glitter acrylic paint for the base coat and one bottle of gloss black acrylic for the main color. For the substrate we used one 50 pound bag of pool filter sand that I picked up from the local hardware store and 76 pounds of lake rock that I got from a local landscape rock and gravel supply for about 5 cents a pound. There are about 50 Pseudotropheus acei in this aquarium and one Melanochromis johanni maingano mix, but they all seem to get along very well 95 percent of the time.
