Revision Zero and Quicksilver Storm suck at boss DPS. (Primary exotic DPS ranking)
EDIT: I forgot to include pre-charged revision zero in the calculations. For most damage phases (I used 30 seconds as a baseline), it sits at just under 2% better than hierarchy at 0m, so it barely makes a difference in the long run. Same with the eight-shot trick, the slower ROF on the 2-burst mode outweighs the extra sniper shots, decreasing DPS in the long run.
This data is meant to help you in damage phases against bosses like caretaker, where ammo is a big problem. You obviously shouldn't be using a primary over a heavy to kill a raid boss if you have a choice.
