Minimal Landing Screen UI | Affinity Designer
This was a 30 minutes UI challenge.
Happy I recorded it so you can have a glimpse of the process.
This abstract UI is super versatile and can work for many clients looking to level up their landing pages if they're lacking content or on a market that's hard to use illustrations or photos for.
Process:
Draw a curve
Draw another shape to cut the curve with using pathfinders
Repeat for other sections
Apply one single gradient to all the shapes
Ajust the gradient direction for each section, darker color on the inside of your fold
IMPORTANT +
ABOUT THE PATHFINDER +
If your curve is in a "z" shape and you use the pathfinder, it will consider your shape to be an hourglass as it will create a line between your two ending points. If you encounter this problem, either close your shape prior to using the pathfinder (recommanded), OR cut off additional points until the anticipated closing line if outside of the section you're working on.
ABOUT THE GRADIENTS +
If you want to change your gradient after applying a new direction for each fold, select them all and use the gradient icon in the context toolbar (top bar).
