DR SIRI KANNANGARA RECOGNITION 2013
Professor Siri Kannagara has been honoured with an appointment to the Order of Australia for his services in the field of medicine.
Professor Kannagara received this recognition for significant service in the field of Sports Medicine and Rheumatology .
The Order of Australia was established in 1975 to recognise Australian citizens and persons for achievement or for meritorious service.
Professor Siri Kannangara has received a special commendation from the Australian Government.
Professor Siri Kannangara, is a reputed doctor, born in Sri Lanka and currently residing in Australia.
He was a member of the medical team at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
The Australian Government says that Professor Kannagara was conferred the Order of Australia in recognition of his service to the 26% field of Sports Medicine.
