Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)
Consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist Associate Professor Martin Weltman discusses what you need to know about Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC).
PSC causes chronic (long lasting) inflammation in the bile ducts inside and outside the liver. The bile ducts are the tubes that carry bile.
It may eventually lead to long-term liver damage and liver failure. But there are effective treatments available.
In this video, A/Prof Weltman discusses why people get PSC, how to find out you have it, and what happens next.
