Making soft plastic baits can be a steep & expensive learning curve, especially if you're not sure if it's for you. Here's a simply way to make your own mold at home, then make baits quickly and with little investment. These baits won't be "perfect" to sell. But, will catch fish.
I'm using Plaster of Paris (available at any home improvement store), plastisol, and a meat injector.
Warning:
Use caution when melting plastic. The fumes are toxic. Only melt in a well ventilated area
You need to get the plastic up to 350 degrees. This is HOT. Use caution when handling hot plastic. Trust me. Gloves & long sleeves strongly recommended
Do not use the same microwave as your food. If you do, do not use the same microwave for food anymore. Look on Craigslist or Facebook for anyone giving away an old microwave or selling for cheap.
