Have you ever tried probing low levels in circuits and keep loosing the measurement? I have had a time when I was probing a voltage pull up when it was only using nano amps. Well we found out that the meter we were using only had an internal resistance, on voltage measurements, of about 10Mohms. This was not nearly enough. We found that we needed around 10Gohms for the meter to not steel so much current from the measurement that it would collapse the voltage.
