Cheetahs are the fastest land animals in the world, reaching speeds of up to 110 km/h in short periods of time. They can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds. Cheetahs are adept at hunting smaller, more agile prey, such as gazelles and antelopes. Cheetahs avoid hunting larger prey, such as wild boar, but if they get the chance, they will make these animals their food. Obviously, when feeding on wild boar, they prefer young or sick boar.
