Welcome to Sequences #5-#8!
In Sequence #5, side stories come alive, and our villain’s plans begin to take a devious shape. This sequence enriches the main storyline, revealing new layers of conflict, secrets, and relationship dynamics. What side paths will add tension, and how do these subplots intensify the stakes?
In Sequence #6, things are getting heated. The villain finally steps up and tries to blow our protagonist (and the protagonist's new world) to smithereens. All foes, both known and hidden, are pressing in. How will this relentless pursuit test our hero’s resolve? How will the hero behave when they face down their enemy? What things will the villain take or destroy that will embitter our protagonist and set our story blazing toward the climax?
In Sequence #7, the villain has invaded the protagonist's new world and has destroyed practically everything, including the protagonist's spirit. So now, the stage is set for our protagonist’s biggest fight yet. Everything they’ve learned, every challenge they’ve endured, all leads to this moment: where the protagonist storms onto the villain's territory for a final fight. What choices must the protagonist make, what price must they pay, and who (or what) must they battle to get to the final villain?
In Sequence #8 is the grand finale, where our protagonist finally comes face-to-face with the villain in the ultimate showdown, confronting both their external enemy and inner conflict. Here’s where resolutions take shape, stakes hit their peak, and the final blow lands. How does your story resolve? How does your protagonist finally conquer their internal flaw and rise above it to defeat the villain? What lasting impact does the protagonist leave? And is evil truly destroyed? Or is it just "gone for now"?
