Manson Replica guitar build Part 2
My 2nd homemade Manson Replica built for myself.
Part 2: neck finishing with Tru Oil. High gloss. Maple wood.
Tutorial:
1) Sandpaper at least 320, then up to 1500 (my method: 400-800-1500). Then clean the dust.
2) Put some masking tape on fretboard and headstock.
3) Apply a thin coat of tru oil with a piece of cloth.
4) Let it dry at least 3-4 hours. I waited 8 hours: one coat in the morning, one in the evening.
5) If the surface is not perfecty flat use some 1500 sandpaper (soft touch!) before applying the next coat.
6) After 4-5 coats it will become gloss. Go on as your preference. I did 10 coats.
