PHILIPPE COGNEE. PAINTING AFTER
Until July 16, 2023
To mark its reopening on March 15, 2023, the Bourdelle Museum is dedicating its largest retrospective in Paris to Philippe Cognée (born in 1957). Displayed in the wing designed by Christian de Portzamparc, the exhibition "Philippe Cognée. Painting After" is structured around the Basel Catalogue, a breathtaking collection of some 1,000 works by the artist. A painter, but also a sculptor, Cognée engages in a dialogue with his peers, including Antoine Bourdelle, an acknowledged guiding figure.
