So, I see this as a culmination of the two major issues in their relationship: Jason's fear that he's unable to protect Sam and Sam's pain over Jason seemingly being unwilling to fight for them. I miss them, horribly. This couple makes me feel things and I hope someday I'll get to see them reunite on-screen but either way, their history speaks for itself. Soulmates and all that jazz :)
