Tunguska Event - Largest asteroid impact in recent history. Although no one has ever found asteroid fragments or an actual crater. But even without a crater, scientists still categorized it as an impact event. There was a lot of theories back in early 1900s like it was a comet that passed into orbit, and bounced back out of our atmosphere, or that it was natural gas that bubbled up to surface.
