If you're going to hit Lucas Lodge, beware of two critical things. There are TWO, I repeat, TWO sets of wires in the area. One is obvious, west of the bridge. The
second set hides in almost level with the bridge and parallel with it only a hundre feet or so away. These wires go UP on the SOUTH bank of the river, so if you're hanging wide to get a longer final approach, USE CAUTION. And again this is considered and emergency strip only, so be certain to call ahead for authorization, it really is fairly rough and only for experienced pilots preferably with bush gear.
