CoTeCiO's Archives: The series in which I upload videos from my personal VHS archives with gaming sessions I've done over the last 20 years! If you like playthroughs with no commentary, and also like a healthy dose of nostalgia with the VHS tape visuals, this is the show for you! And yes, I stuck around recording stuff to VHS for a very, very long time, long past VHS' heyday, although that shouldn't be surprising considering the retro focus of my content in general and my fascination with old technology.
This is the oldest VHS tape (which is actually a VHS-C tape) with gameplay of me (although I suspect the gameplay on this Wolf3D part of the tape was done by my older brother, not me), and one of only two tapes I have with an actual recording date written down, this one being dated February 18, 2001 and the only tape recorded with my grandma's Panasonic NV-J31 VCR, which was a regular mono VCR. All the rest of the tapes were recorded on my dad's VCR, an RCA VRS620, which had Hi-Fi and recorded/played back in stereo, this RCA machine is the one I used to transfer all of these tapes I'm going to be uploading for this show.
This tape was among the easiest ones to transfer, as this was recorded and probably got lost almost straight away, only to be found by me around two decades later among other old stuff in my house. I say it was lost almost straight away because the whole thing was in absolute pristine condition and the tape shows pretty much no signs of wear at all, alongside another VHS-C tape that contains a recording of some Mario Kart 64.
