When the Omicron wave of COVID-19 hit, Health PEI made some changes to avoid interruptions to the surgery schedule. And the changes they made worked.
While jurisdictions across the country were cancelling surgeries, Health PEI was shuffling post-surgery patients to hospitals across the province, which meant many people were actually able to recover closer to home.
